Design

I'm currently working on my web design certification and part of the class's requirements are to design actual websites, oddly enough I'll be posting some of my efforts here, eventually. Meanwhile, here's my first efforts:

Writers and other assorted neurotics

Like many before me, I have long desired to write the next great American novel. I've even attempted it once, just to try to get it out of my system. It was a Star Trek Next Generation novella published in some long gone fanzine (back when they actually printed those rascals!) The bug remained, however, through two more attempts, one a near epic, much to my chagrin. These were based on the X-Files and were accessable for a number of years in old-style HTML on my previous website. The epic, incidentally, was nominated for several awards; one dear soul even translated it into Russian. People amaze me.

Midway through a Highlander novella it finally dawned on me (after friends repeatedly bashed me about the head with the realization) that I should probably stop expending so much mental energy on other folks' universes and try to work on characters of my own invention. I'm doing that and hope to get the plot out of the mothballs by next year and actually flesh it all out.

Anyone know a good publisher? Well hang onto them. They're hard to come by.


My Fiction

Domination of Lies
My first X-Files venture. Moose and Squirrel's-- uhm, I mean Mulder and Scully's misadventures around Washington, DC. Basically, your tax dollars at work.
Mercury Falling
Mulder pre-Scully, working a particularly violent case for ViCap with Reggie Purdue. Ignore most of the blither in the disclaimer. Apparently I was a little bleary-eyed that day.
Getting There
An unfinished Highlander venture. I am determined to finish this sometime when life allows.
Feel free to download, link or whatever. I wrote them but I don't own the franchises (wish I did!) so it's not like I can charge for them or anything.
